Advance, Access and Directional Highway Signs
At the request of the applicable park agency, the Government of Saskatchewan may install directional signing in advance and/or at the access of federal, provincial and regional parks. The attraction will be a specific site, feature, facility or traffic generator that is open to the general public for recreation or cultural activities.
Core Signing
- Operational (staffed) parks may receive signing, which includes an applicable directional advance sign.
- Non-Operational (non-staffed) parks may be signed using logos and tabs (trailblazers).
Additional Signing
- Federal, provincial, and regional parks that provide basic services and meet general requirements, may be eligible for additional directional signing at the nearest junction, and at a principal highway junction where the distance to the park is 50 kilometres or less.
- Federal, provincial, and regional parks that provide basic services and meet additional criteria and provide an increased level of service may be eligible for additional directional signing at the nearest junction, and at a principal highway junction where the distance to the park is greater than 50 kilometres.
Businesses Inside Park Boundaries
At the request of a business situated within a park boundary, the business may be eligible to install either Standard or Optional Frontline Motorist Service and Recreational/Cultural Facilities Signing or Off Premise private signs.
The business must meet the requirements of the Standard or Optional Rural Motorist Service signing policies and receive approval from the Ministry of Environment.
