Resolving Conflict Constructively Workshop
This three-day workshop provides participants with the opportunity to develop tools and improve skills in problem solving and conflict management on an interpersonal basis. The course includes skill building through theoretical discussion in small and large group settings; and practical application activities, such as exercises and role playing. Resolving Conflict Constructively is a prerequisite for Leading by Example and Introduction to Mediation, and is strongly recommended for Negotiation and Influencing.
1. Benefits
The workshop will include the following areas of study and practice:
- Conflict theory – how people approach and deal with conflict;
- Communication skills – including active listening, questioning techniques and re-framing;
- How to raise issues constructively;
- Introduction to interests – what is important to people; what are they trying to accomplish; what are the motivations behind the positions people take; and
- An interest-based approach to problem-solving.

September 22 to 24, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day
Resolving Conflict Constructively
Virtual – 6 half-days over the course of 2 weeks (Live virtual sessions will be held over the mornings of the scheduled dates; applicants must be available to attend both weeks)
Week 1: October 27 to 29, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day
Week 2: November 3 to 5, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day

Regina, SK (in person)
December 8 to 10, 2026: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day

Conditions for Workshop:
- 100% attendance for ALL days to receive a Certificate of Attendance
- Engage in general discussions, small group discussions, and role plays
- Video stays on (Virtual Workshops)

Courses will be offered subject to adequate enrolment. Enrolment for these courses is limited. Three weeks' notice is required in the case of cancellation. You may be charged a cancellation fee, unless you find a replacement.
