Managing Conflict When You're Not Neutral Workshop

This three-day workshop is intended for those who wish to enhance their skills in situations where they are expected to facilitate processes while also having an interest or a stake in the outcome. The course will also be helpful to representatives of regulatory, licensing and planning agencies who deal with competing private and public interests.

The workshop will include the following areas of study and practice:

  • A review of conflict theory, interests and communication skills;
  • Leading processes in a fair manner while at the same time advancing your own needs and interests;
  • How to lead processes using a constructive model for conflict resolution and overcoming resistance to it; and
  • Determining when to ask for assistance from a neutral third party.
