Healthy Sleep and Screen Time

The National Survey of Children's Health reports that every hour of screen time has been associated with three to eight minutes less sleep. Children and teens reported that screen time before bed disrupted their sleep and negatively impacted their mental health (Hale et al., 2019). Since sleep is one of the most important factors in maintaining overall mental well-being, it is critical that children who are still developing are aware of how their screen habits can impact their sleep.
