Crop Production Update:
- The Crop Protection Lab has received 39 samples so far in June. Samples submitted include spruce and elm trees, and crops including barley, canola, lentil, pea, chickpea, canary seed, durum and alfalfa. The lab has not had any insect or weed identification’s requested this year by producers.
- The majority of plant health problems diagnosed by the lab may be grouped into four categories: herbicide injury, abiotic stress, insect damage, and lastly, plant disease.
