Apply for a Certificate of Registration
Before you can hire foreign workers in Saskatchewan, all employers must register with the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety and obtain a Certificate of Registration.

Temporary Foreign Worker Programs
The federal government operates temporary resident/worker programs. Find out if you need a Labour Market Impact Assessment to hire a temporary worker, what work permit program to use, what to do after you hire and how to help your employee extend their work permit.
Fees
- Government of Saskatchewan: There is no fee for employers for obtaining a Certificate of Registration. Note: please see the Government of Canada fees for the nominee's work permit below.
- Government of Canada - Hiring Temporary Foreign Workers: You can apply through a specialized program or apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment to fill labour or skills shortages on a temporary basis. Each program has a fee for the application.
