Translations are made available to increase access to Government of Saskatchewan content for populations whose first language is not English.

Software-based translations do not approach the fluency of a native speaker or possess the skill of a professional translator. The translation should not be considered exact, and may include incorrect or offensive language. The Government of Saskatchewan does not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated by this system. Some files or items cannot be translated, including graphs, photos and other file formats such as portable document formats (PDFs).

The Ultimate Recycling Challenge

2. Share

Share a post on Facebook or Instagram highlighting your recycling efforts. This might include:

  • sorting recyclables
  • rinsing empty beverage containers before recycling
  • participating in clean-up initiatives at school or home
  • educating others about recycling and waste reduction
  • taking empty bottles to SARCAN

Entries must include a short caption explaining the recycling initiative and its impact.

3. Tag

Tag us (@SKEnviro and @SARCANRecycling) and use the hashtag #SKRecyclingHero in your post.

Contest Guidelines

  • Entries must be original and showcase your own recycling activities.
  • Multiple entries are allowed, but each entry must be unique.
  • Make sure your profile is set to public so we can see your entry.
  • The contest is open to all Saskatchewan residents.
  • Once the submission period ends, a panel of judges will select the top 10 entries, based on criteria such as creativity, impact and adherence to recycling principles.
  • Out of the top 10 entries, the public will be invited to vote for their favourites by “liking” them.
  • Top three winners are selected based on total number of votes/likes.
  • The decision of the winners is final.
