About The Food Safety Regulations 

The intended purpose of The Food Safety Regulations is to ensure that facilities preparing, storing, cooking, processing, dispensing, transporting, serving or selling food or drink to the public are constructed, operated, and maintained in sanitary condition. Food and drink must be safe for human consumption. These regulations help to minimize the risk of food-borne illness from disease-causing micro-organisms.

Review of The Food Safety Regulations

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking feedback from stakeholders, rightsholders, partners, and the public regarding proposed changes to The Food Safety Regulations. The Food Safety Regulations underwent a review on specific topics as flagged through conversations with partners and internal research.

Deadline: Wednesday, April 2, 2025

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health hereby gives notice of proposed amendments to The Food Safety Regulations for public comment described herein.
