The Government of Saskatchewan is conducting research and public engagement to inform the legislative review of The Environmental Management and Protection Act, 2010. As part of this effort, the Ministry of Environment released a summary of the proposed amendments on January 30, 2025, inviting interested parties to provide feedback on the Act. We focused on four areas in the discussion paper:
The ministry is pleased to share the “What We Heard” document from the second round of public engagement. This is a summary of the feedback we received from January 31, 2025, to April 4, 2025. Publishing the “What We Heard” document is an important step in the ministry’s engagement process. The information gathered has helped us to further refine the amendments to the Act.
