Proposed Amendments to The Mineral Resources Act, 1985

The Ministry of Energy and Resources has concluded consultations on proposed amendments to The Mineral Resources Act, 1985.

The proposed amendment outlines a framework for designating a development area, providing subsurface access to minerals for resource projects that are deemed to be in the public interest.
