The new board members are:

  • Martin Chicolo, Southey

  • Leon Winkel, Humboldt

At the same time the new board takes over, the appointment of the Administrator is concluded.

"I want to thank Dr. William Cooke for the leadership and guidance he has provided to the college," Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration Minister Rob Norris said. "At the same time, I am pleased that we are moving forward with a new chapter for the college."

The new board was chosen based on best practices and under the authority of The Regional Colleges Act.

Applications were received through a call for expressions of interest on the ministry's website and in newspapers within the CTRC region.

A four-member evaluation committee, made up of ministry staff and a representative from the Saskatchewan Education Leadership Unit (SELU) from the University of Saskatchewan was established to evaluate applications and make recommendations to the minister.

The new board will be responsible for hiring a CEO and determining dates for future meetings. In addition, board orientation and training will be initiated immediately with the support of both the College and the ministry.
