MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR QUEEN MOTHER

Premier Lorne Calvert has announced the Province of Saskatchewan will hold

memorial services for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.



Those services will be held in Prince Albert April 10th, Saskatoon on April

12th, and Regina on April 13th.



"The loss of the Queen Mother is deeply felt by the people of Saskatchewan,

not only by those who met Her Majesty in 1939 and 1985, but by everyone who

sensed the warmth and devotion to duty and family for which the Queen

Mother was so well known and loved," Calvert said. "These memorial events

will provide us with an opportunity as a community to remember the Queen

Mother and give thanks for her outstanding life of service to Canada and

the Commonwealth."



The services will take place as follows:



Prince Albert, Wednesday, April 10th, 7:30 p.m., St. Alban's

Cathedral, Bishop McLean Crescent. The Speaker of the Legislative

Assembly will give the address;



Saskatoon, Friday, April 12th, 7:30 p.m., St. John's Cathedral, 816

Spadina Crescent East. The Lieutenant Governor will give the

address; and



Regina, Saturday, April 13th, 2:00 p.m., St. Paul's Cathedral, 12th

Avenue & McIntyre Street. The Lieutenant Governor will give the

address.



Members of the public are welcome to attend. Condolence books will be

available at all three services and will be forwarded at a later date to

Buckingham Palace.
