Information about the Centennial Summer Student Employment Program is now

available on the Internet.



"This web page gives highlights of all six components of this program,"

Culture, Youth and Recreation Minister Joanne Crofford said. "It also

provides links to our partner agencies involved in this program."



The Centennial Summer Student Employment Program is open to students

throughout Saskatchewan. Work experiences are available with a number of

participating employers and in a variety of disciplines. In 2001, the

program offers students opportunities in six areas:



Government Departments, Agencies and Treasury Board Crowns;



Commercial Crown Corporations;



Post-Secondary Institutions;



Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies;



Regional Parks; and



Community-Based Organizations.



"We value youth and understand their need to prepare for their futures and

ours," Crofford said. "This five-year program will create meaningful jobs

for students so they can secure their futures in Saskatchewan."
