TROUT POSSESSION LIMITS APPLY AT LAKE DIEFENBAKER

Released on May 19, 2000

Anglers on Lake Diefenbaker are being advised that all fishing regulations and

possession limits are being enforced. The daily possession limit of five

rainbow trout is being enforced by SERM conservation officers.

The accidental release of rainbow trout from the Cangro Fish Farm on Lake

Diefenbaker has attracted many anglers to Lake Diefenbaker. Saskatchewan

Environment and Resource Management offices have received numerous complaints

from both local landowners and anglers of anglers taking over their allowable

limit of rainbow trout, trespassing on private property and littering.

Anglers are also being reminded to take their litter with them when they leave

and to respect landowner's property, obey signs and ask permission to

enter/cross private lands.
