NEW HERITAGE BOARD MEMBERS

Four new members have been appointed to The Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation

Board of Directors. They are:



Harry Jedlic, Architect, Regina;



Dr. Margaret Kennedy, Dept. of Anthropology and Archaeology, University

of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon;



Elinor Hjertaas, retired teacher, Yorkton, and;



Ingrid Cazakoff, Curator and chief Administrator, Grand Coteau Cultural

and Heritage Centre, Shaunavon.



"I'm pleased these knowledgeable people have agreed to provide their expertise

and time to the work of the Heritage Foundation," Minister responsible for The

Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation Clay Serby Minister said. "The preservation

of all aspects of our heritage and the stewardship of the tangible examples of

heritage are important for us to leave to future generations."



The new board members will join Dr. Bill Brennan, Glenda James and Willard

Ahenakew who have each been appointed for a second term. Brennan was named as

chairperson and James was named as vice-chair.



The Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation provides cost-shared financial support to

community based groups and individuals who seek to conserve, restore, develop,

interpret and promote Saskatchewan's diverse heritage resources. A board of

private citizens drawn from communities across the province directs the affairs

of the foundation.
