CROP INSURANCE DEADLINE NOVEMBER 15

Released on November 1, 1999

Crop Insurance customers should mark November 15 as an important date on their

calendars.

"We realize that with a late harvest some producers may still have unharvested

crops and we encourage them to request an extension of insurance by November

15," Saskatchewan Crop Insurance spokesperson Gloria Visser-Niven said.

Producers who don't require an extension of insurance, should file claims by

November 15. This is the last date to file a claim without a penalty.

Customers are also asked to complete and return their Production Declarations

by November 15. Production Declaration forms were mailed to customers in

October and should be completed and returned to Crop Insurance. This

information is needed to establish a producer's future coverage.

Producers should contact their nearest crop insurance office before November 15

to request an extension of insurance, file a claim, or submit their production

declaration.
