NEW SASKTEL 3D LASER THEATRE UNVEILED AT SASKATCHEWAN SCIENCE CENTRE

Deputy Premier and Crown Investments Corporation Minister Dwain

Lingenfelter and Ron McKetsy, chairman of the Saskatchewan Science

Centre's Board of Directors, today unveiled the latest attraction to

the centre the new SaskTel 3D Laser Theatre. This laser theatre is

only the tenth of its kind in the world.



"Over the past decade, the Saskatchewan Science Centre has evolved

into one of Saskatchewan's most popular year-round learning centres

and tourist attractions, and the new SaskTel 3D Laser Theatre will add

to the centre's exceptional reputation," Lingenfelter said.



"The laser theatre brings a new dimension to the learning experience

and adventure at the science centre," McKetsy said. "The addition of

the SaskTel 3D Laser Theatre comes as we are celebrating the 10th

anniversary of the Saskatchewan Science Centre. This attraction will

add a whole new dimension to our mandate of educating and entertaining

our visitors."



The laser theatre will take the viewer on a learning adventure through

films on the human body and the living sea. The first film to be

shown is The Illuminated Brain.



"Like the science centre, SaskTel is committed to providing

leading-edge technology and outstanding service to their

customers," Lingenfelter said. "This unique 3D Laser Theatre is

the latest example of that commitment and SaskTel is proud to be

a part of what will truly be a wonderful learning experience for

all visitors."
