NEW MONEY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN PORCUPINE PLAIN

People with disabilities in Porcupine Plain are getting nearly $10,000
in government money to help pay for new programs. The $9,520 dollars
will be used to hire staff to improve service for these individuals.



"This will help both people with disabilities and the community by
involving more participants in more diverse types of activities,"
Social Services Minister Harry Van Mulligen said.



The money will be used to hire a part time supervisor who'll help those
involved, keep service at a high level and come up with new initiatives.
Next year, Minister Van Mulligen plans to give the community even more,
$12,670, dollars to ensure the improvements continue long term.
