SUMMER DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN IN LLOYDMINSTER

Released on August 10, 1999

Children ages six to 12 will enjoy scheduled recreation and learning activities

while participating in the Lloydminster Children's Summer Day Camp.

The Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre, in partnership with the Lloydminster

Metis Housing Group Inc., today received $4,600 from the provincial government

toward the summer day camp. Children will learn that they are valued and

respected while having fun with friends and camp staff.

"Since 1997, more than $5 million in casino profits have supported community-

based programs for vulnerable children, youth and families through the

Associated Entities Fund," Violet Stanger, MLA for Lloydminster, said on behalf

of Municipal Affairs, Culture and Housing Minister Carol Teichrob.

The Associated Entities Fund receives a portion of the profits from Casino

Regina, the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford, the Northern Lights Casino

in Prince Albert and the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton.
