Chief Coroner Dr. John Nyssen today announced that an inquest into the
death of Antonio Joseph Palin will be held Tuesday, February 24, 1998
in Moosomin.
Palin, 73, died while in custody at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
cells at Moosomin, Saskatchewan.
Section nine of the Coroners Act requires an inquest to be held when
an inmate dies in a jail, penitentiary, lockup or correctional
facility.
The inquest will be held at 10:00 a.m., February 24, 1998 at the
Provincial Court in Moosomin. The presiding coroner will be Mr. Glenn
Wilton.
