OPERATIONS CONSULTANTS SELECTED FOR REGINA CASINO

Released on March 9, 1995

Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Minister Dwain Lingenfelter today
announced that Holland Casinos has been selected as the operating
consultants for the Regina casino.

"Holland Casinos is internationally known for its expertise in managing
and operating casinos in a highly-regulated business environment,"
Lingenfelter said. "As a Crown corporation of the Netherlands with 20
years experience operating in smaller markets like ours there is a
great deal in common between our two companies."

Holland Casinos was established by the Dutch government in 1975 to
operate casinos in the Netherlands. Today it employs 2,600 people and
runs nine casinos. It was previously involved in establishing the
Crystal Casino in Manitoba and Casino Montreal.

"Holland Casinos will bring many strengths to the operation of the
Regina casino. As a Crown corporation, it is familiar with operating
in an environment that is directly accountable to government and the
public. Holland Casinos is also recognized as a world leader in the
area of internal measures and controls to minimize the social impacts
of gaming."

The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation will now negotiate a contract with
Holland Casinos to provide operating advice during set-up and
operations.
The contract is expected to last for five years. During this period,
Holland Casinos will provide expert advice in key areas of operations
including slot and game management, security, and internal systems and
controls.

Holland Casinos was selected following a competition involving Harrah's
Casino Hotels of Memphis, Tenn., and the Sahara Gaming Corporation of
Las Vegas, Nev.

Lingenfelter said that applicants were evaluated on their past
experience in managing and operating major casino complexes; their
understanding of the strict Saskatchewan standards and expectations for
operating the Regina casino; their plans to transfer skills and
expertise to Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation management and staff in
order to allow independent operation of the casino after expiration of
the consultancy contract; and, the cost of their proposal.
