TWINPAK CONGRATULATED ON $3.65-MILLION PLANT EXPANSION

Released on February 21, 1995

Premier Roy Romanow and Economic Development Minister Dwain
Lingenfelter today congratulated Twinpak Inc. of Regina on the
company's $3.65-million plant expansion.

Lingenfelter said Twinpak will receive a grant of $200,000 to help
train its employees during the expansion. Twenty employees will be
trained to run new equipment and there will be opportunities for other
workers to upgrade their skills.

"This expansion will provide eight new jobs in the first three years
and an additional 12 jobs in the coming years to bring the total number
of jobs to 90," Lingenfelter said.

Twinpak manufactures plastic food containers for the North American
market. The company is expanding and upgrading its equipment so it can
increase productivity and take advantage of new market opportunities.

Romanow said Twinpak's expansion shows confidence in Saskatchewan's
manufacturing industry and demonstrates that companies in the plastics
sector can be successful in Saskatchewan.

"The plastics manufacturing base has great potential in Saskatchewan,"
Romanow said. "Not only could it create hundreds of jobs, but it could
also generate revenue for the province through export sales."
Twinpak's expansion is well under way and is expected to be completed
by July.
