Sheep and Goats

The demand of the marketplace drives the production of sheep and goats. Producers will benefit from researching their local market and deciding if raising sheep and/or goats would be beneficial for their business.

The Ministry of Agriculture can provide you with the information you need to plan and start producing sheep and goats. You will find tools to help you:

  • Plan for Ewe growth;
  • Feeding and grazing for sheep;
  • Decide how best to invest in goat production; and
  • Figure out the operating costs of goat production, including dairy and meat production.
