Darlene Rowden a été élue députée provinciale de Batoche pour la première fois en 2024.
En décembre 2025, elle a été nommée ministre de l’Environnement.
Avec son mari et ses enfants, elle possède et gère le R&B Wilson Ranching, un ranch de quatrième génération situé à l’est de MacDowall, en Saskatchewan.
Depuis toujours passionnée d’agriculture, Mme Rowden a été membre du conseil d’administration de Prince Albert Exhibition et a également été une leader du projet bovin pour l’organisme 4-H. Elle a occupé un poste de conseillère de commission scolaire pendant 14 ans et a été présidente de la division scolaire Saskatchewan Rivers à Prince Albert.
Darlene Rowden est bénévole au sein de l’association de la circonscription Batoche du Parti saskatchewanais depuis 2010 et elle occupe le poste de directrice provinciale depuis 2011.
Madame Rowden et son mari ont trois enfants et vivent près de MacDowall.
