Provincial Heritage Property Alteration Application

Overview

The Heritage Property Act states "… no person shall destroy, alter, restore, repair, disturb, transport, add to, change or move, in whole or in part, real property designated pursuant to this Part of remove any fixtures from such property … without the written consent of the minister." As a result, a Provincial Heritage Property Alteration Application must be completed and approved prior to any alterations to a Provincial Heritage Property.

Guidance

Contact the Heritage Conservation Branch for assistance in preparing an application to alter a Provincial Heritage Property.

Eligibility

Application may only be completed by owners or representatives of a Provincial Heritage Property within Saskatchewan. Lessees of a property may submit with permission from the owners.
