Review of The Food Safety Regulations

As part of the Red Tape Reduction initiative, the Government of Saskatchewan sought feedback from stakeholders regarding proposed changes to The Food Safety Regulations. This engagement is now complete.

Summary of results

  • Changes were generally well received by responding stakeholders.
  • Minor changes in wording and/or grammar were suggested to clarify meaning and reduce room for interpretation.

About Red Tape Reduction

The reduction of red tape and regulatory burden is a priority for the Government of Saskatchewan. Red tape impacts all residents and businesses and reduces the efficiency of government. Inconsistent, unclear, out-of-date and duplicate regulations create hardships for Saskatchewan people and business and act as barriers to economic growth.

Although public consultation for The Food Safety Regulations is now closed, you can continue to provide feedback to Help Cut Red Tape and improve regulations on issues throughout government.
