The Energy Regulation division of the Ministry of Energy and Resources has concluded consultations with the oil and gas industry on a new directive to provide clearer expectations and instructions for industry’s management of hydraulic fracturing operations. In support of this proposed new directive, the ministry also consulted on corresponding amendments to Directive PNG013: Well Data Submission Requirements (Directive PNG013) regarding the submission of data relating to fracking operations.
