Amended Directive – Horizontal Oil Well Requirements

The Energy Regulation Division of the Ministry of Energy and Resources has concluded consultations with the oil and gas industry on an amended directive to clarify requirements for reduced set-backs, drainage area determination, provincial crown and freehold pooling, and to now include horizontal gas wells as being subject to the Directive.
