Released on April 2, 2026

Athletes, coaches, officials and support staff who proudly represented their Saskatchewan roots at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Italy, were recognized by the Government of Saskatchewan, Sask Sport, the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan, at the Legislative Building today.

"Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, officials and support staff for their contributions to sport in our province," Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Alana Ross said. "Both the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano Cortina were a success for our Saskatchewan contingent - and we are very proud of you. As role models and ambassadors, your hard work, dedication, and commitment to sport and sportsmanship is truly inspiring."

A total of 27 athletes, coaches, officials and support staff with Saskatchewan ties represented the province in Italy.

"On behalf of Sask Sport's Board of Directors and the amateur sport community, I extend our congratulations to the athletes, coaches, mission and support staff who competed in the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games," Sask Sport Board Chair Amy Prokop said. Saskatchewan's Olympic contingent featured four support staff, four coaches, six officials and seven athletes with ties to the province.

The province's Paralympic contingent featured three athletes, two coaches and one support staff member.
