Death at Regina Correctional Centre

Released on November 18, 2025

A 66-year-old male inmate was declared deceased on Saturday, November 15 at 9:14 p.m., at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina.

The inmate was initially transported to the hospital via EMS and Regina Correctional Centre staff on October 27, due to pre-existing health conditions. He remained in the hospital until his death.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified and are investigating. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety will also conduct an internal investigation. 

Next of kin have been notified. No foul play is suspected at this time.
