Death at Regina Correctional Centre

Released on November 14, 2025

A 39-year-old male was declared deceased on Thursday, November 13, at the Regina Correctional Centre (RCC). 

The inmate was found unresponsive on a living unit at RCC at approximately 11:04 a.m. Corrections staff initiated life saving measures and called EMS. EMS declared the male deceased at 11:25 a.m.

The RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified and are investigating. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety will also conduct an internal investigation. 

Next of kin have been notified. No foul play is suspected at this time.
