Graeme G. Mitchell, Q.C. has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board replacing Judge Steven Schiefner who was appointed to the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan on November 13, 2015.

"Mr. Mitchell has extensive experience in the practice of law and government administration," Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said.  "Mr. Mitchell will bring a great deal of experience to the Board, particularly in the areas of Administrative Law and Constitutional Law, as the Board continues to deliver timely and effective services to the labour relations community."

Mitchell obtained his Bachelor of Law degree from Osgood Hall Law School at York University as well as a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago Law School.  He was appointed as a Queen’s Counsel in 1998.  He was honoured with the 2014 Distinguished Service Award by the Canadian Bar Association (Saskatchewan Branch) as well as two Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Service in 2011 and 2013.
