Provincial Secretary Wayne Elhard announced today the eligible francophone organizations that will share the $100,000 available for this year's provincial cost-shared infrastructure grants for projects like improving arts performance venues and maintaining community centres.

“The Fransaskois community has been an important part of our provincial identity for more than a century,” Elhard said.  “These investments under the Francophone Community Infrastructure Fund (FCIF) will help it remain strong and vibrant for generations to come.”

Provincial investment may be provided for up to two-thirds of the required funds to a maximum of $50,000 per project.  All recipients must contribute at least one-third of all eligible costs.

The Government of Saskatchewan’s Francophone Affairs Branch manages FCIF.  The Provincial Secretary’s duties include French-language services and engagement with the francophone community in Saskatchewan.
