LEDCOR TO BUILD SLGA’S NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTRE

Released on October 21, 2013

Ledcor Group will build the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)’s new liquor distribution warehouse at Regina’s Global Transportation Hub.

Ledcor was chosen through a public Request for Quote process.

“With the contractor now in place, SLGA’s new distribution warehouse is one step closer,” Minister responsible for SLGA Donna Harpauer said.  “We expect the shovels to hit the ground in November with the facility fully operational in 2015.”

The 158,000 square foot facility will replace SLGA’s current distribution facility which has been operating beyond capacity due to the province’s growing sales volumes.  The total cost of the project including land is $37 million.

All wine, spirit and specialty beer products are distributed across the province through this warehouse.
