NEW KIOSK AND INFORMATION PANELS SHOWCASE THE LEGISLATIVE BUILDING AND PROVINCE

Released on October 10, 2012

Guests visiting the Saskatchewan Legislative Building now have exciting new ways to learn about our province, with the introduction of a new touch-screen kiosk and three new information panels, unveiled today in the front lobby of the Legislative Building.

"I am proud to help mark the 100th anniversary of the Legislative Building by unveiling these new additions to the front lobby," Central Services Minister Nancy Heppner said. "The panels and information kiosk are a great way for guests of the Legislative Building and our province to learn more about Saskatchewan and our history."

The new information panels offer guests a glimpse of the Legislative Building's rich history, as well as an insider's view of the building and grounds. In addition, the new touch-screen kiosk brings life to the history of the building and our province through interactive games, visual reconstruction and virtual tours of the building, and much more.

"This building is symbolic of all the great people who have made our province what it is today, and what it will be tomorrow," Heppner said. "An opportunity to share Saskatchewan's unique history and pride should never be missed, and our new panels and touch-screen kiosk help ensure our story is told."

The new kiosk and panels were unveiled as part of the celebrations to mark the building's 100th anniversary. Celebrations to mark this historic occasion and landmark in our province have been taking place throughout the year.
