CHIEF CORONER’S OFFICE CONFIRMS LANDFILL FATALITY

The Office of the Chief Coroner is confirming the death of Stanley Adamek, a 45-year-old Regina man.

Adamek was declared deceased after an industrial incident at the City of Regina landfill on March 22, 2012. An investigation is currently being conducted by the Chief Coroner's Office with assistance from the Regina Police Service.

The investigation will focus on clarifying the circumstances surrounding the death and investigating measures that could be used to prevent similar fatalities from happening in the future.

The coroner has ordered an autopsy as part of this investigation.
