Moose Jaw, Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert all placed in the top one-third ranking in a comparison of 133 business locations across 14 countries.
Saskatchewan cities have continued to maintain a competitive advantage according to the 2012 Competitive Alternatives study released by KPMG today.
"The Saskatchewan Advantage is clear when it comes to comparing the cost of doing business," Enterprise Minister Jeremy Harrison said. "Our cities placed very well in this study, which will help to attract more investment to our province."
Among 33 Midwest American and Western Canadian cities, Moose Jaw ranked 1st, Prince Albert 2nd, Regina 4th and Saskatoon 7th.
"As a government we recognize the importance of having an attractive and competitive business environment and we will continue our efforts," Harrison said. "That includes balancing our spending, cutting government red tape and proceeding with initiatives that enhance investment attraction. Saskatchewan's economy is leading Canada today with steady economic growth and that is projected to continue for years to come."
The 2012 KPMG study was developed through information obtained from a partnership of the private sector, provincial and civic governments.
