CASINO REGINA HOSTS COMMUNITY GIVING NIGHT AT RODEO FINALS

Released on November 18, 2011

The excitement of world-class rodeo action is coming together with the spirit of community, thanks to a partnership between Canadian Western Agribition and Casino Regina.

Casino Regina is sponsoring Community Giving Night at the Canadian Cowboys' Association (CCA) Rodeo Finals, to be held on the final night of Agribition, November 26, at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. Rodeo attendees are asked to bring a food item to donate to the Regina Food Bank; in return, they will receive an entry for an exciting draw prize.

"I have no doubt we'll see the legendary Western Canadian generosity in action on Community Giving Night," Minister responsible for SaskGaming Ken Cheveldayoff said. "It's very exciting for us to partner with such an outstanding event to benefit those in our community who need our help."

In addition to Casino Regina's $20,000 sponsorship of Community Giving Night, casino staff will also be volunteering their time that evening to collect food donations.

"We are very pleased to have partnered with Casino Regina to bring the first Community Giving night to the CCA Finals Rodeo on Saturday, November 26," Agribition CEO and General Manager Marty Seymour said. "Every little bit helps and has a real impact on the lives of people who depend on the food bank."

In the past year, Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw have contributed $750,000 and countless volunteer hours to community events and organizations.

Canadian Western Agribition takes place November 21-26 at Evraz Place. For more information, visit www.agribition.com.
