STC OFFERS BUS SERVICE AT NEW WEYBURN STOP

Released on May 30, 2011

The Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) will now operate from a different location in Weyburn.

The company announced details of a new partnership with the Zippy Mart, a local business in the city. Effective May 31, 2011, all passenger and parcel express service will be offered at the new location.

"We look forward to beginning our relationship with the Zippy Mart," STC Business Development Director Dean Madsen said. "Our customers in Weyburn will still receive great service and the benefit of a courteous and knowledgeable staff who are excited to aid in the transport of people and packages across the province."

The previous bus agency, Weyburn Shell, had been serving as an STC agent since 1995 and will stop serving as the STC depot in Weyburn.

"We want to thank Weyburn Shell for being STC's agent for the last number of years. We appreciate the contribution they've made to the community," Madsen said.

Zippy Mart is located at 1610 1st Avenue North East in Weyburn. Hours of operation for the new depot are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
