ENTERPRISE SASKATCHEWAN ANNOUNCES VOLTA AWARD FINALISTS

Enterprise Saskatchewan in partnership with Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE), Rock Bridge Realty Ltd. and Rawlco Radio named the finalists for the SYPE Volta Award at Rock Bridge Realty Ltd. in Regina today.

Hello Baby, 22Fresh, Slice Athletic Wear and Prairie's Edge Development Corporation were shortlisted by a SYPE Silver Spades award selection committee for the prize, which recognizes excellence in youth entrepreneurship in the province. The contest is open to Saskatchewan residents aged 18-35 and a total of 40 entries were received.

"These four finalists reflect the outstanding entrepreneurial talents of our Saskatchewan youth," Enterprise Minister Jeremy Harrison said. "Entrepreneurs are the leaders in our economy and we hope this award will generate further interest in the profession."

"The Volta Award signifies the energy and passion for entrepreneurship by young people in Saskatchewan," SYPE Silver Spades Award Gala Chair Marc Kelly said. "Through a network that spans the province of Saskatchewan, SYPE is pleased to celebrate and highlight these entrepreneurs in this exciting social media competition and awards ceremony."

Rock Bridge Realty Ltd. is the official sponsor of the $5,000 cash prize that will be awarded to the winner at the SYPE Silver Spades award gala on June 11, 2011. Advertising for the award is being provided by Rawlco Radio.
