ISC RECOGNIZED FOR COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Released on January 5, 2011

In recognition of a strong commitment to organizational excellence, Information Services Corporation (ISC) has become the first Saskatchewan corporation to be recognized by the National Quality Institute (NQI) with Level 3 certification in the Progressive Excellence Program (PEP) Integrated Criteria, and also awarded a Silver Canada Award for Excellence.

"I congratulate ISC's leaders and all employees in achieving this honour and being recognized among the best companies in Canada for implementing quality and healthy workplace principles and practices," Minister responsible for ISC Tim McMillan said. "This recognition is an important validation of ISC's commitment to business excellence and creating a healthy workplace for its employees."

NQI is a not-for-profit organization that is Canada's national authority on quality and healthy workplace practices. The PEP program has four sequential Levels with specific criteria - Foundation (Level 1), Transformation (Level 2), Role Model (Level 3), and finally World-Class (Level 4).

"ISC has been using the NQI framework since 2003, and it has provided us with a set of valuable criteria and best practices to measure our progress in our journey toward organizational excellence and effectiveness," ISC President and CEO Jeff Stusek said. "We are passionate about providing exceptional customer service as well as an open and inclusive workplace for all of our employees.

"As we celebrate and reflect on this validation of ISC's excellence journey, we are also well on our way to ultimately reaching World Class Level 4 - where organizations are sustaining best practices through measurement and monitoring. I'm confident ISC is up to the challenge, and the next steps on the journey are sure to be even more rewarding for all of us," Stusek said.

ISC is the provincial Crown corporation responsible for land titles, vital statistics, survey, personal property and corporate registries, as well as related geographic information.
