Premier Brad Wall today issued the following statement on the election of Christy Clark as the new leader of the British Columbia Liberal Party and Premier Designate of British Columbia.
"On behalf of the people of Saskatchewan, I would like to offer a hearty congratulations and warm welcome to Christy Clark," Wall said. "She is entering into her new job at an exciting and crucial time. Following the establishment of the New West Partnership office in Shanghai last year, the partnership has been expanding into new areas that offer tremendous promise."
Wall said he looks forward to working with Premier Clark on behalf of the mutual interests of British Columbians, the people of Saskatchewan and the leadership of the New West.
