ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPOINTMENT TO SENIOR PUBLIC SERVICE

Deputy Minister to the Premier Doug Moen has announced an appointment to the senior leadership of the Saskatchewan Public Service.

Cheryl Senecal has been appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education effective December 12, 2011. Cheryl has been the Acting Deputy Minister for the past six months and was previously an Assistant Deputy Minister with the Ministry of Education. Cheryl brings extensive senior leadership experience with the Government of Saskatchewan having served in positions with the Ministries of Social Services, Advanced Education, Employment and Labour, as well as the Ministry of Labour and the Women's Secretariat.

"I want to thank Cheryl for the leadership she has provided to the ministry in the past few months and for her continued focus and commitment to improve student achievement and the well-being of Saskatchewan children and youth," Moen said.
