COMMUNITY SKATE PROGRAM LAUNCHED

Released on August 26, 2011

The warm weather is sticking around, but it's never too soon to put on a pair of skates! Casino Regina, in partnership with Evraz Place, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of a new program that will provide skaters of all ages with the opportunity to hit the ice free of charge.

Casino Regina is the presenting sponsor for the Community Skate Program at the Co-operators Centre, Evraz Place. The program kicked off with a special free skate day sponsored by Casino Regina today.

SaskGaming's total sponsorship to Evraz Place is worth $50,000, which includes the skate program and additional advertising and promotional opportunities.

"This program is such a great opportunity to work together with an outstanding community partner and introduce a skating program that's accessible for everyone," Minister responsible for SaskGaming Ken Cheveldayoff said. "It's a pleasure to be part of an activity that encourages families to have fun together and share a healthy activity."

"We are very pleased to be able to offer this program in partnership with Casino Regina," said Mark Allan, President & CEO of Evraz Place. "Together we are increasing the accessibility of the Co-operators Centre to everyone in the community."

Starting September 1, free daily drop-in programs will be held at the Co-operators Centre, which include Parent & Tot, Senior Skate (55+), and Public Skate. For more information regarding drop-in program schedules, visit www.cooperatorscentre.com.

SaskGaming, through Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw, contributes over $750,000 annually to community organizations in support of events and initiatives that make our communities better places to be.
