CHAIRPERSONS NAMED, AND NEW BOARD MEMBER ADDED TO MAMAWETAN CHURCHILL RIVER REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY

Released on April 5, 2011

Health Minister Don McMorris today announced the appointment of La Ronge resident Miles Bean to the Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority Board.

He also announced the designation of Ronald Woytowich as Chairperson and Ron Pratt as Vice-Chairperson.

"It is important for Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region to have effective representation on the board," McMorris said. "With this announcement, the board has the skills, experience and leadership to help the organization address the health needs of northeastern Saskatchewan."

All regional health authority board appointments are in effect until January 2012.

"It is good to have the vacancy filled so promptly," new Chairperson Ronald Woytowich said. "Together with the health region's management, we will work to improve access to health services and find ways to make health care more patient- and family-centred."

The vacancy was created by Chairperson Joe Hordyski's resignation in February.
