Big Game Management Licences are available for purchase beginning November 22 by Canadian resident hunters who would like to hunt antlerless mule deer.
The licences are available for Wildlife Management Zones 2W, 3, 7, 14, 46 and the Saskatoon Wildlife Management Zone. The season is open from November 25 to 30 inclusive. Quantities are limited in each zone and will be available on a first come-first served basis.
Canadian residents can purchase a maximum of two Big Game Management Licences for antlerless mule deer, with a bag limit for each licence of one deer. The cost per licence is $19.62. Hunters also need a $10.79 Wildlife Habitat Certificate before they can purchase a licence.
Licences can be purchased in person at Ministry of Environment field offices in Kindersley, Leader, Lloydminster, Maple Creek, North Battleford, Regina, Saskatoon, Shaunavon and Swift Current. Phone orders will not be accepted.
Antlerless mule deer licences that remain unsold from this year's Big Game Draw are still available for Saskatchewan residents in these zones.
Hunters are encouraged to turn in deer heads to local ministry field offices for chronic wasting disease testing. There is no charge for the test.
