PREMIER’S AWARD PRESENTED TO PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEES

Premier Brad Wall presented the 2010 Premier's Award for Excellence in the Public Service today.

"This year's recipients are wonderful examples of the great work being carried out by public service employees everyday across Saskatchewan," Wall said. "Not only are these men and women making our communities safer, healthier and more prosperous through their actions they are also sharing Saskatchewan's story with the rest of the world."

The Premier's Award for Excellence recognizes public service employees in three categories; Innovation, Quality Service and Leadership.

The team recipients are:

  • Battlefords Domestic Violence Treatment Options Court, Justice and Attorney General (Innovation)
  • On-Unit Programming: Courage to Change Field Study, Corrections, Public Safety and Policing (Innovation)
  • The 2010 Saskatchewan Olympic Pavilion Team, Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport (Leadership)
  • Soldier Settlement Negotiations Team, Energy and Resources; Justice and Attorney General (Leadership)
  • Vaccine Management Team, Health (Innovation)

Individuals or teams from government ministries, most Treasury Board Crown corporations, boards, commissions and agencies are eligible for nomination by the public service, stakeholder organizations, clients and the public. Selections are made by an independent committee.
