AUTOPSY RESULTS RELEASED IN ABERDEEN DEATH

Released on June 11, 2010

The Office of the Chief Coroner is involved in the investigation of the death of 22 month-old Evander Lee Daniels that occurred at a rural residence in the Aberdeen area on June 8, 2010.

As part of this investigation, an autopsy was completed and preliminary results indicate the cause of death was drowning. There were extensive scald type burns which may have contributed to the death.

The investigation continues in conjunction with the RCMP and officials from the Ministry of Social Services.
