AOL ESTEVAN CLOSED

Released on July 23, 2010

The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration cancelled the Certificate of Registration for the Academy of Learning (AOL) Estevan on July 21, 2010. The registration was cancelled due to a failure to comply with the legislative requirements governing private vocational schools.

Ministry staff were onsite Wednesday, July 21, and officials have notified the 18 affected students of the cancellation. The Ministry will assist students to either continue their post-secondary education or receive tuition refunds.

Private vocational schools are owned and operated by individuals or corporations without direct public funding. They are regulated under authority of The Private Vocational Schools Regulation Act, 1995 and The Private Vocational Schools Regulations, 1995.
