CASINO REGINA AND KITCHENER COMMUNITY SCHOOL FEEDING FAMILIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Released on December 15, 2010

More than 400 students and family members came out to enjoy a holiday feast at the Kitchener Community School today, prepared and served with help from Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Ken Cheveldayoff and volunteers from Casino Regina.

"At this special time of year, it is wonderful to have an opportunity to get together and enjoy some good food and great company," Cheveldayoff said. "Casino Regina is pleased to host this wonderful event and we sincerely thank the Kitchener Community School for working with us. We're very pleased to be able to give back to our community, and to help make the holidays happy for these children and their families."

Casino Regina provided more than $6,000 to help hold the event. Kitchener Community School students and their families were invited to take part in the meal, which featured turkey and all the fixings prepared by Casino Regina's sous chef, Lloyd Frank.

The children in attendance also received special gifts delivered by none other than Santa Claus himself!

Sask Gaming is proud to support community groups and non-profit organizations that are making life better for Saskatchewan people. This year, Sask Gaming is providing more than $750,000 in community giving and sponsorships.
